One of my favourites activities to do when I am free is to go on a drive alone while listening to podcasts about human psychology. If I am unable to go for a drive, I usually read books about the 20th century or clinical Pyschology. Sometimes when I feel like it I like to sketch as well, keeps me busy for a good few hours.
