Internship\r\nUniversity Of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital - Portharcourt\r\nOctober 2021 to December 2021\r\n• I was able to learn how to properly interpret a prescription.\r\n• I was responsible for filling prescriptions for patients.\r\n• I was was given the responsibility of clerking patients to find out how they are faring.\r\n• I was taught how to interpret medical test results properly.\r\n• I was also given the responsibility of updating the Head pharmacist on the progress of patients in the\r\nward which I was assigned to.\r\n• I ensured that each prescription was properly examined for any dru-drug or drug-food interaction.\r\n• I developed and honed my skill of making calculating doses meant for kids not up to 40kg as well as\r\nother children doses .\r\n• I learnt how to store nephrotoxic drugs and conditions needed for their viability\r\n• Also noteworthy is the fact that I was charged with the responsibility of opening , cleaning and setting\r\nup the pharmacy for the day, ahead of the arrival of the superintendent Pharmacist\r\n\r\n\r\nIndustrial Trainee\r\nMendel\'s Pharmacy - Portharcourt\r\nSeptember 2020 to February 2021\r\n• I was given the duty of filling prescriptions for patients.\r\n• I was also given the responsibility of clerking patients and doing follow up calls\r\nto check up on Patients.\r\n• I have understood the role of a pharmacist in the community and got familiarized with drugs needed\r\non a daily basis.\r\n• I worked part-time for 5 hours and 9 hours on Saturday and Sunday interchangeably\r\n• I handled the responsibility of entering all sales to the computer via a Software we use for book-\r\nkeeping.\r\n• I carried out the Telepharmacy duties especially for the purposes of checking up on Patients.
