The Role

• Provide technical expertise in the development and implementation of the overall Department Strategic Plan and unit-level operational, budget and performance plans.
• Facilitate Department entities in developing and implementing processes which integrate strategic planning, operational action planning, budget planning and performance management.
• Coordinate development of multi-year operational plans for administrative support services.
• Capture, assess and develop innovative ideas and strategic initiatives based on Department leadership and international best practices.
• Ensure effective coordination and understanding of strategic planning process through regular meetings with stakeholders and Department-wide communication.
• Support the publication of the Annual Report for the Department by providing inputs from the strategic planning process and key improvement initiatives.
• Manages Strategy, Planning and Innovation sub-Division administrative matters including budgeting, staffing, training needs, coaching, and counselling of employees and promotion of learning activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Admin
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of strategic planning
• Ability to complete tasks of moderate complexity
• Ability to evaluate performance of multiple sections and anticipate/address risks and challenges
• Specialist experience in developing and coordinating strategy and planning for an organisation undergoing transformation
• Cross-industry experience in planning and strategic direction setting
• Ability to supervise and provide oversight and direction to staff within a division
• Minimum 7 years related experience
• Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic and English
