Senior Mechanical Engineer Required in France

Skills Provision is searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a medical devices company in France.

Our client develops medical devices that catch serious or life-threatening conditions.

The Role

• Strong oral and written communication skills (French & English)
• Drive engineering development projects involving a high degree of cross-functional coordination and hands-on problem solving driven by fundamental engineering and scientific principles
• Create designs, product requirements, design specifications and documentation, design descriptions and testing plans, as required by applicable medical device standards and internal procedures
• Build, assemble, modify, test, and evaluate prototypes and analytical models; research and development on design options and perform experiments to determine design feasibility
• Participate in the selection, qualification, and management of clients
• Ability to work in an environment as an individual contributor and member of a multidisciplinary team interfacing with engineering, scientific and business teams to develop world class medical devices and workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in medical device mechanical design and manufacturing
• Strong presentation skills
• Liquid handling, fluid dynamics experience highly desired
• Medical device industry experience and knowledge of French regulatory standards highly preferred
• Experience in high and low volume plastic injection moulding designs
• Strong background in materials selection, coatings, and material biocompatibility
• Experience in lab automation and mechanism design
