Flooding and Drainage Engineer Needed in the UK

We are currently recruiting for a major consultancy client for a technical role in a range of flood management projects ranging including flood and hydraulic studies and river and drainage modelling within the United Kingdom.

Position: Flooding & Drainage Engineer

Salary

• £44,350 pa

The Role

You will bring your expertise in the flooding environment to a series of flood management projects. You will also be able to manage those projects whilst supervising junior staff involved in project delivery.

Support the Senior Engineer on technical projects. Key activities will be:

• Modelling
• River and drainage modelling
• Design Calculations
• Site visits
• Liaison with sub-contractors
• Outline Design
• Detail Design
• Report Writing

Typical Projects include:

• Flood Risk Assessments
• Flood Studies
• Hydrological Studies
• Hydraulic Modelling
• Surface Water Management Plans
• River Engineering
• Flood Alleviation Scheme Outline and Detail Design
• Drainage – surface and foul water design

Requirements

• Degree qualified
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience
• Self-confident
• Team player
• Solid IT skills
