Skills Provision is searching for suitably skilled Fish Filleters for a company in the South West of England.

The employer is extremely busy supplying fresh fish and quality seafood across the UK.

Salary

• £12.50 per hour
• Attendance Bonus: 15% of the monthly salary (1^st October-30^th March) and 25% of the monthly salary (1^st April to 30^th September). This is based on 100% attendance in the month.

Working Hours

• 5 pm – 2 am
• 6 days a week (Sunday-Friday)

The Role

Fish Filleter duties include:

• Cut and prepare fish as directed e.g. scaling, skinning, gutting and filleting
• Ensure maximum yield from the product minimising waste
• Inspect the quality of the product
• Weigh, package and label products in line with specifications
• Clean and maintain tools when not in use
• Follow all health, safety and hygiene guidelines
• Participate in training as and when required
• If required attend staff meetings
• Assist in other duties as directed

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Able to use hand tools, knives, tweezers,
• Knowledge of different fish preparation techniques and cuts
• Physical fit due to the demands of the role
• Able to work to deadlines
• A good communicator
• A team player

Additional:

If applying from outside of the UK applicants will need to meet the minimum requirements for the Skilled Worker Visa, this includes:

• Pass the UKVI IELTS
• Obtain a clear Tuberculosis Test (for certain countries)
• Clean Immigration History
