Compliance Officer Needed in North Dakota, USA

Skills Provision is searching for a Compliance Officer for a company based in the North Dakota.

The employing organisation operates in the financial sector.

Salary and Benefits

• $70k – $100k p/a

The Role

• To keep the Chief Compliance Officer informed on an ongoing basis
• Approve Compliance Risk Matrices and re-approve the annual revisions thereof of the area(s) under responsibility
• Provide compliance guidance to the line management in the development of business strategies, planning and day-to-day operations, and to assist them in developing solutions to potential issues involving compliance and regulatory risk
• To work with the line management to determine the impact of new / changed laws & regulations and if necessary
• To act as a liaison with external audits(s) for matters relating to compliance, and to monitor corrective action that relates to area(s) under responsibility
• To develop a training program and provide compliance training in line with the units’ assessments of training needs
• To assess and evaluate, on an ongoing basis, the requirements for compliance resources

Requirements

• Relevant degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Finance industry experience is essential
• In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
• Data-driven decision maker
• Excellent personal skills
• Ability to prioritise and organise work
