Accounting/Finance Manager Needed in Ireland

Skills Provision is searching for an Accounting/Finance Manager for a publishing company in Ireland.

The employing company has an immediate need for a full-time Accounting Manager. They need a smart, innovative person that embraces challenging work and recognises the value of individual contribution.

• €58,500 pa

The Role

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting consolidation and close
• Prepare monthly reporting package
• Manage accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, revenue recognition, taxes, cost accounting
• Responsible for timely and accurate filing of sales tax returns
• Develop and maintain financial projections that are consistent with the company’s goals
• Manage planning, reporting, and analysis for new products and projects
• Identify and implement metrics to measure business results and success
• Drive process improvements and system implementations with the finance function

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience working in a similar field
• Desire and ability to thrive in a demanding environment; history of successful prioritising, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Team player with ability to work independently
• Revenue accounting experience
• Experience in inventory and cost accounting
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Excellent financial modelling skills and high level of proficiency on IT software suites
