Skills Provision is searching for 5 Safety Managers for a swimming pool construction company in the Middle East.

The Role

• Maintain the health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to project the safety of the public, and contractor personnel. Comply with Corporate, State, Federal and local Regulations.
• Prepare specific project plans for health, safety & environment.
• Deliver and track new employee safety orientations. Develop and deliver training programmes in a manner that raise awareness and enables employees and supervisor to work safely.
• Participate in and lead the safety committee meeting to address site related safety, health and environment issues.
• Plan, develop and conduct employee safety, fire prevention and accident prevention programmes.
• Review fire evaluation plans at site as per site conditions and requirements periodically.
• Evaluate safety performance of the employees, subcontractor and suppliers and take disciplinary action against their frequent violation of health and safety requirements.
• Advise the Management on new rules / regulations implemented by the Government.
• Ensure the Safety Management System is established, implemented and maintained with compliance to relevant standards.
• Inspection of all work site and communication of corrective measures to the Management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Health, Safety & Environment
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar field
• Hold supplementary professional qualifications
• Strict, disciplined approach
• Keen eye for detail
• IT proficient
• Competent at corporate report writing
• Dedicated operator
• Hard working
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent in Arabic and English
