Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the entire Procurement & Sub Contracting, Sourcing & Expediting activities for the company.
• Managing a team of purchasers and expeditors.
• Pre-Qualification of Vendors and maintaining their database (Approved Vendor List, AVL).
• Procurement of bulk materials like Steel Plates (CS, SS, Alloy Steel, HIC, Clad for pressure vessels from approved mills like Dillinger, Salzgitter, Voestalpine, Thyssenkrupp, JFE, Nippon, JSW, Duferco, Outokumpu, Arcelormittal, Tata & Posco), Dish Heads (From AOI, EES, Afflerbach, Antonius, Voestalpine, Deform, Ferrofab), Piping Materials from Aramco approved mills/stockist around the globe (V&M, Jesco, Nippon, Sumitomo, ISCOR, Tenaris, Dalmine, Melesi, Mega, Metalfar, Ulma, BKL, Techforge, Racoordi, Awaji, Erne etc.)
• Sub contracting of support structures & skids, E&I jobs, Blasting & Painting, Galvanizing & Special coatings, TPI Inspection, NDT, Training of personnel, Transportation, Rental Equipment & Man Power hiring etc.
• Managing all logistic requirement of the company for import/export of materials/equipments. Coordination for custom clearance at Air/Sea Ports and Batha border. Preparation of guarantee letter and authorization letters and maintaining their records.
• Updating monthly reports of KPI for procurement department.
• Implementation of Cameron’s procedures & standards in true spirit, in the Procurement department.
• Responsible for placing both technical and commercial Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the Contractor specific scope to client approved suppliers, coordination for technical reviews, Extensive Negotiations for price concessions & best possible delivery schedules, Incoterms and payment terms.
• Preparation of Price comparisons (CS) and recommend awards.
• Responsible for preparation of all Purchase Orders.
• Responsible for PO maintenance including updating of delivery status. Coordination with vendor and QC department for ITP approvals, PIM, Inspection schedules.
• Responsible for all expediting activities from the purchase order placement to material delivery at a point of final delivery
• Coordination with warehouse & QC for the clearance of materials.
• Coordination with finance for approving vendor invoices for payments and revisions for change orders.
• Responsible for technical evaluation of complex technical submissions from Vendors and highlighting deviations.
• Reporting to GM of the company.

• Oil water separators for Tatweer Petroleum Bahrain
• Induced Gas Flotation, Cartridge and nut shell filter package for KJO through JGC for water treatment facilities.
• Nut Shell filter package for Cairn Energy India through Cameron Abu Dhabi.
• Absorber and Deabosrber vessels for Wasea Bulk Pant through Carbovac for Saudi Aramco.

• Led a team of 15 buyers to manage the entire buying & expediting activities.
• Assigning indents to buyers for buying and getting reports on pending procurement on weekly basis.
• Survey and Pre-qualification of new vendors for required materials as well as maintaining the data base of approved, hold or black listed vendors with complete record and comments.
• Sourcing of materials from round the globe at competitive prices and as per our client requirements and standards.
• Technical clarifications as per project technical specifications mentioned in the documents attached with indents.
• Commercial clarifications (Incoterms) & handling of financial matters (establishment of Letter of credit & shipping guarantees)
• Establishment of realistic schedules for procurement.
• Tabulation of comparative statement (CS) taking into consideration the quality, delivery, specifications and Prices received from different suppliers.
• Forwarding of CS package for End-User approvals and other Options, as per quotations.
• Preparation and issuance of purchase orders after CS approvals as per financial matrix.
• Maintaining the updated status of materials being purchased.
• Sourcing of all types of material including Engineering, non-engineering, Chemicals, Rental equipment, skilled manpower, unskilled labour and accommodation services etc., from local and distant market.
• Co-ordinate with custom clearing agents, scrutiny of shipping and custom documents, forwarding guarantees and custom duty cheques, for refunds etc.
• Handling shipping documents e.g. invoice, certificate of origin, packing list, material test certificate, bill of lading or airway bill. These documents are legalized, covering insurance of consignment.
• Following company rules and procedures for making any orders.

• Ma’aden Magnesite Mine Facilities Project in the industrial city near Madina (Full Construction project and provided MEP services)
• SAMREF Turnaround Project, Yanbu; (Piping materials, Fasteners /Gaskets /Tools / Equipment)

• Core responsibilities were to formulate & implement the contracts for new product development & procurement related activities for Renewable Energy Projects.
• Made liaison with the vendors and subcontractors for timely delivery of raw materials and vendor concessions.
• Sourcing and procurement of steel structures and special materials/equipments for Solar dish project from round the globe.
• Supervised the Vendor Inspections at their premises.
• Effectively participated in the preparation of proposals for the new projects.

• Responsible for the sourcing and procurement of complete project materials/equipments from local as well as foreign vendors strictly in line with the project requirement and specifications.
• Invitations for bids/quotes, reviewing quotes/bids, CS tabulations and approvals, PO issuance.
• Pre-qualification of suppliers, their assessment and registration as approved vendors.
• Developed an insight into the design, material usage, manufacturing and fabrication, heat treatments and surface treatment etc.

• Cost Estimates for new products development based on market knowledge and from price database.
