Consultant and part of the multidisciplinary team CBM / PEMEX in an optimization of surface facilities project, where my role consisted in:

• Review and analysis of the Chicontepec Basin data (Geological and petrophysical information, original volume and hydrocarbon reserves, cores and fluids analysis, history of drilling, pressure-production testing, electrical logs, well events, etc.)
• Analytical subsurface study and review of operational conditions of wells, analysis of reservoir pressures (PANSYSTEM). Calculation of flow rate of wells through nodal analysis with commercial well simulation tools (PIPESIM and PROSPER).

Reservoir and Well Productivity Engineer in Veracruz Basin (CBM Engineering, Exploration & Production/PEMEX). México. August 2012 – January 2013


Consultant and part of the multidisciplinary CBM / PEMEX team during the development process in the Visualization, Conceptualization, Definition, Monitoring and Evaluation stages of the exploration project in reservoirs of the Veracruz Basin, where my main responsibilities were:

• Analysis and review of the Veracruz Basin data (Geological and petrophysical information, original hydrocarbon volumes and hydrocarbon reserves, core and fluid analysis, history of drilling, pressure-production testing, electrical logs, well events, etc.)
• Analytical subsurface study and review of operational conditions of wells, analysis of reservoir pressures, calculation of original hydrocarbon volumes, reserves and initial flow rate using CRYSTAL BALL (Probabilistically) and creating the nodal analysis with commercial well simulation tools (PIPESIM and PROSPER)
• Decline curve analysis per well and reservoir using OFM (Oil Field Management), analysis of the economic limit of wells production, exploitation plan for development of reservoirs and finally the evaluation and control of technical results

Consultant in charge of implementing a smart workflow automation and best practices of reservoir and production engineering, where my role consisted in:

• Analysis and review of the Chicontepec Basin data (Geological and petrophysical information, original volume and hydrocarbon reserves, core and fluid analysis, history of drilling, pressure-production testing, electrical logs, well events, etc)
• The automation of the processes carried out to optimize the well production. The workflow was based on the design of an advising panel which worked surveillance events by exception - Subsurface study, review of operational conditions of wells, nodal analysis through commercial wells simulation tools (PROSPER and PIPESIM), decline curve analysis for wells and reservoirs, the evaluation of the production economic limit of wells and finally the testing phase of result, monitoring and post-mortem analysis

Reservoir Engineer in Macuspana Basin (CBM Engineering, Exploration & Production/PEMEX). Mexico. August 2009 – November 2010


Consultant and part of the multidisciplinary CBM / PEMEX team, during the development process in the Visualization and Conceptualization stages of the Macuspana Basin investment project, where my main duties were:

• Review and analysis of the Macuspana Basin data (Geological information, core and fluid analysis, petrophysical evaluations, history of drilling, pressure-production testing, electrical logs, well events, original volume and hydrocarbon reserves, etc.)
• Generation of opportunity matrix and selection of technically feasible scenarios (secondary recovery, well path design and completions, etc.), for the different type of fluids that we had
• Study and analysis of volumetric calculations of hydrocarbon reserves
• Analysis and monitoring of production/pressure behavior and decline curves of wells
• Verification and implementation of nodal analysis and material balance in the different reservoirs
• Probabilistic determination of the original volumes of hydrocarbon, oil and gas reserves and initial production of hydrocarbon in the wells of the fields
• Design and evaluation of several scenarios of exploitation, through the creation of production forecasts of new drilling locations.
