I am currently working as a Management Trainee Engineer (Technical/Mechanical Engineering) at Golden Sugar Company/Refinery, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc since February 2023. My role involves the maintenance, installation, and checking of pumps, mechanical seals, valves, and utilities in the entire section of the sugar refinery.\r\n\r\nApart from this, I have been working on a Sugar dust control measures project using an anemometer and aspiration line revamping, restructuring, and monitoring procedures. I also conducted energy-saving research on heat recovery and gas economy using an economizer to generate steam from turbine heat.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, I researched the conversion of aerobic wastewater treatment plant to anaerobic ones to generate methane gas for powering up the kilns and boilers while economizing the use of fossil fuels. The work I do here is challenging, but being a part of such an innovative company is also rewarding.
