• Knowledge in Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS) web operation\r\n• Knowledge in using Reusability and Salvage Guidelines Manual when inspecting used components\r\n• Conform to safety procedure and practices of caterpillar products\r\n• Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and standard practices of Caterpillar heavy equipment mechanical work\r\n• Knowledge on diagnosing Caterpillar engine related problems\r\n• Ability to perform testing and adjusting on heavy equipment machine hydraulic system specially on hydraulic excavator, motor grader, soil compactor, bulldozer, skid steer, loader, backhoe loader and articulated dump trucks\r\n• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions\r\n• Ability on troubleshooting, diagnosing and tracing active events and codes related to electrical components problem\r\n• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams (electrical and hydraulic)\r\n• Ability to service undercarriage components and conduct Custom Track Service (CTS) on track machines\r\n• Skills in performing break down and preventive maintenance of Caterpillar machines/engines\r\n• Ability to perform electronic injector replacement, trim code, trim file calibration and leak-off test\r\n• Ability to perform cylinder cut-out test using caterpillar electronic technician\r\n• Ability perform power shift calibration on caterpillar hydraulic excavator using CAT ET or monitor\r\n• Knowledge on hydraulic system testing and adjusting on main relief and line relief valves to meet specified hydraulic pressures\r\n• Ability to perform engine speed calibration, governor actuator replacement and calibration using CAT ET or monitor\r\n• Knowledge on Electronic Control Module (ECM) replacement, flashing and configuration\r\n• Ability to conduct starter motor and alternator disassembly, repair, bench test and installation\r\n• Ability to perform transmission clutch engagement calibration on caterpillar bulldozer (track type tractor)\r\n• Knowledge on performing testing and adjusting on Caterpillar generator sets which includes performing megohmmeter testing, diode check, automatic voltage regulator (AVR) bench test, and static and dynamic flashing\r\n• Knowledge on converting generator output voltage from 220 to 440volts and vice versa\r\n• Knowledge on retrofitting Caterpillar generator sets from (Electronic Modular Control Panel) EMCP 1, 2, 2+ and 3 to the latest EMCP 4\r\n• Knowledge on conducting running repair on machines and engines such as Fuel Injection Pump timing and replacement, unit injector replacement, valve lashing (engine tune-up) and viscous fan conversion.\r\n• Knowledge on overhauling caterpillar engine such as C6.4 , C11, C13 and 3406\r\n• Knowledge on conducting hydraulic and engine troubleshooting such as overheating, won’t start problem, slow implement movement and unusual sounds\r\n• Knowledge on assembly and disassembly of various hydraulic pumps of hydraulic excavator, bulldozer and articulated dump truck\r\n• Knowledge on assembly and disassembly of various types of transmission such as power shift transmission and countershaft transmission \r\n• Knowledge on resealing hydraulic cylinders\r\n• Knowledge on repairing hydraulic excavator major components such as swing drive, swivel joint, final drives, swing motor and travel motors\r\n• Experienced in general reconditioning of 140G Motor Graders \r\n• Experienced in general reconditioning of 143H Motor Graders\r\n• Ability to replace circle drive gear components on motor graders\r\n• Ability to assemble service brake assemblies on motor graders\r\n• Ability to assemble and install tandem drive components on motor graders including chain coupling and final drive adjustments\r\n• Assembled and installed countershaft transmission on motor graders (mechanical and electronic controlled)\r\n• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machine lighting system related problem\r\n• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic transmission related problems\r\n• Ability to read and understand service manual and parts manual drawings \r\n• Ability to recondition hydraulic system components (pumps, multivalve, selector valves, cylinders, swivel) on motor graders\r\n• Ability to repair brake system on motor graders\r\n
