MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN: July 2021 – Present \r\nBrobondo Private Limited \r\nResponsibilities: \r\nInspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.\r\nDiagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.\r\nOrdering vehicle parts where necessary and maintaining an inventory of frequently used parts. \r\nMaintaining an organized scheduled maintenance plan. \r\nPerform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups to maintain a fully functional company fleet. \r\nComplete reports to record problems and work performed.\r\n\r\nMECHANIC - APPRENTICE: April 2017 – May 2021 \r\nToyota Zimbabwe \r\nResponsibilities: \r\nServiced vehicles according to OEM recommended maintenance schedules for oil changes, engine tune-ups and fluid changes.\r\nPerformed diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures to find and identify root causes of mechanical and electronic issues, attending to malfunction check lights.\r\nAttended to non-start vehicles, achieving an over 95% efficiency rate on restorations. \r\nReplaced damaged, missing or defective parts with new and refurbished components.\r\nSuccessfully repaired gearbox faults such as gears slipping out of mesh and gears difficult to engage.\r\nInspected and tested vehicles and completed preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing and wheel alignment as well as filter replacement.
