Achievements

• Implement cost saving ideas for a certain wiring harness and save 1.2 million for a particular M300 model.
• Resolve a long pending chronic issue, radiator coolant leakage issue in one of a model.
• There were a great support to GM vehicle assembly line, where there were a critical part shortage situation raised for Tavera cluster.

Projects/Assignments

• Successfully implemented QSB-system (Quality System Basics – min 3 month duration required) at different critical suppliers. As it is one of the major global quality systems followed in GM. it used at the supplier facility to improve the quality management system and maintain a flawless supply to GM.

• Successfully completed Red-X project and got certified journeyman in GM global level. Basically GM uses this Red-X a high technique problem solving tool for solving any critical issue where root cause is unknown or difficult to analyise on the vehicle condition. ( Beginner level- Apprentice, Mid level- Journeyman, Expert- Master)

Current Salary: Net Rs 10 Lacs/Annum

Organizational Experience

• Conduct Potential Supplier Assessment (PSA) / Process Control Plan Audit /Capability checking.
• Conduct APQP program review & support midyear change & product Launch.
• Monitor supplier adherence to Process Change Notification (PCN) and for any type of engineering change (EWO/TWO) on a timely and cost effective basis.
• Ensures PPAP completion and approval prior to delivery of new parts. Implement the change at regular assembly through Production Trial Run (PTR).
• Manage supplier’s project plans and activities to ensure product meets GM expectations. Works with suppliers to reduce waste and improve supplier process capability and efficiency.
• Co-ordination with plant quality to ensure line support.
• Responsible for the review, approval and validation of 8D permanent corrective action plans.
• Audits process control implementation and effectiveness. Validates process capability and achieve PPM targets.
• Ensures resolution and implementation of robust solutions for quality problems associated with purchased materials and engineering issues.
• Responsible for investigating, analyzing and correcting problems in quality, production and control at a supplier location.
• Responsible for the quality processes and achievement of the quality goals for specific suppliers as per Business Plan Deployment (BPD Matrices).
• Conduct audits and training to supplier, giving approval to products.
• Analyze and manage supplier quality issues, verify supplier corrective actions and implement error proofing.
• Provide guidance to improve supplier’s quality systems, technical change management and Process Releases.

• Lead process improvement projects and responsible for driving new process design, conducting workshops with Senior Management, Process owners and business users.
• Responsible for determining process improvement opportunities, provide consulting to re-engineer and strengthen processes.
• Continuously monitor KPI’s of all teams to ensure the processes are performing as required, intervene as and when needed to provide feedback to the functional teams and improvise on the process execution.

• Initiating Non-conformance Reports for Non-Conformance products of Suppliers and receiving counter measures from supplier end. Conducting Vendor Audits to check for adherence to Quality Systems.
• Monthly MIS reporting which includes monthly Inventory reconciliation.
• Developing new process concepts for operations optimization, yield improvement and develop guidelines or the sequencing of supply chain activities on the shop floor (SOP).
• Developing Packing Plan and implementing cost saving and kaizen activity in day to day operations stacking of stocks for optimum efficiency, FIFO, space utilization.
• Use of APQP tools in developing inspection standards, sampling methods and gauges / instruments.
• Interacting with Vendors for defect analysis, disposition and actions to reduce the rejection cost & PPM.
