• Extracting crucial evidence from large amounts of data, i.e. mobile phone downloads
• Ensuring clarity of the OIC and judge of the evidence retrieved of the crime and pre meditated intention and planning of the offender so the right verdict can be delivered
• Maintaining OCG trackers and completing OCG disruption forms
• Presenting OCG forms to the disruption panel which contributes to the unit’s performance
• Conducting telephone analysis using both download data and data from Network Providers
• Manual telephone analysis or via SCAS
• Identifying risk and highlight relevant links to operations
• Reviewing police reports on a daily basis to identify patterns of crime as they emerge
• Analysis and tracking of criminal trends, patterns and hot spots forming ensuring crime in the community is detected
• Using various closed and open sources including PNC (Inc VODS), PND, IIP and CRIMINT
• Collecting information from local, national and international computer systems
• Update intelligence records on databases
• Analyse data using specialist software
• Use intelligence data to help managers with planning resources review how effective the analysis is, and recommend changes where necessary
• Following correct policies and procedures for Police Officers and Police Staff
• Liaising and dealing with all members of the MPS and external partners
• Accurate data entry
• Creating i2 association charts, time lines and general data and intelligence management for numerous operations
• Intermediate use of Excel spreadsheets, MS word, Outlook and Powerpoint
• Working to strict deadlines in pressured environments to deliver different elements of the business
• General administration duties, filing, printing, copying, drafting letters and writing reports involving regular use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power point and Excel
• Case working and report writing on issues regarding transactions, processes or incidents, providing full details and outcome of actions
• Escalate unresolved issues to line manager
• Build effective relationships with partners, colleagues and suppliers to ensure the objectives of the business are fully supported by appropriate support procedures
• Working on tactical (reactive) and strategic analysis
• Researching and corroborating intelligence received from the National Crime Stoppers
• Call Bureau; creating Crimint Plus reports and distributing these to appropriate intelligence units
• Dealing with fast time intelligence including threats to life according to the Standard Operating Procedures
• Responding to telephone queries and advising in relation to Crime Stoppers
• Excellent customer service and Admin PA skills
• Preparing research packages on individuals using a variety of sources; searching CRIS and CRIMINT Plus, IIP, eApps to identify crimes and suspects for research and development;
• Maintaining various spreadsheets and databases; other tasks as directed
• Following up intelligence requests from partner agencies and client such as other Police Forces, Probation office, HMP Prison, SOCA, e t c on specific intelligence information they requested
• Analysing all new offences, identifying series and patterns of offending, highlighting risk

• Gathering prosecution evidence and giving evidence in court when required to assist in a case
