During the time that I worked at Averon I gained experience in many aspects of my trade, including fabricating and welding the following;

All of the jobs were to DNV 2.7.1 standard. I also manufactured many stainless items using TIG and pulse MIG welding, this included the following;

• Stainless steel grease skids

Welder Fabricator & Mechanical Technician – Oteac
April 2010 – April 2011

My role at Oteac involved undertaking welding, fabricating, lifting and testing work. I gained experience at my time at Oteac in the following;

• Pressure testing

• NDT pad eye inspection (MPI & DPI)

• Sling inspection

• Load testing

Part of my role was to maintain relationships with customer representatives and within my testing and refurbishment role, I ensured that all equipment was inspected, repaired and tested to standards and accreditations held by Oteac.

I completed my four year apprenticeship in Welding Fabrication and have also attained an SVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding. While serving my apprenticeship I worked on a variety of jobs, ranging from the following;

• Beams and box section frames for construction industry

• Tool stands for the oil industry.

• Heating and tempering steel
