Senior Audit Consultant (Makosi Pty (Ltd))\r\nFeb 2022 - Apr 2022\r\n\r\nI worked at Makosi for a few months on a contract basis. I was contracted to work on providing financial accounting and consulting services in the areas of audit, due diligence, documentation of controls, preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable reporting framework, etc. I was never on any client engagement however I assisted in internal projects including dealing with consultants on the job.\r\n\r\nTrainee Accountant (SAICA articles) - Macsteel Service centres SA \r\nFeb 2019- Jan 2022\r\n\r\nI worked at Macsteel for 3 years and I was exposed to the steel and real estate industry. I was involved in the preparation of the group, small entities and dormant financial statements in accordance with IFRS. I was worked closely with the group finance manager and other accountants in the day to day and monthly accounting of the business operations of the business such journal posting, reconciliation preparation, budget preparation and monitoring. I was very involved during the audit seasons where I was the first point of contact for external auditors for certain entities and had to prepare audit packs and schedules for auditors. I also worked closely with the Group tax accountant in the preparation of tax packs, VAT and Tax returns and the deferred tax computation. I regularly had projects with the internal audit department where I did branch reviews/ audits to provide assurance and improvement of the internal controls in place.\r\n
