Skills Provision is searching for a Compliance Officer for a Bank in Peru.

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for the bank’s functionality, monitoring business activity, procedures, and documentation.

The Role

• Support line managers from all departments.
• Ensure compliance with national laws which affect the operation of the Bank.
• Identify and record all applicable laws and regulations that might have a bearing on the institution’s operations.
• Maintain a compliance library that provides adequate reference material.
• Remain aware of changes in regulations.
• Disseminate information to managers and staff.
• Reports to management on all compliance related issues.
• Work with management to resolve issues and address deficiencies.
• Assist in the revision/implementation of forms and procedures when requiring change.
• Assist in the design of forms and procedures for new products.
• Ensure policies are properly administered, and procedures followed.
• Follow up on corrective action where necessary.
• Train personnel where required.
• Work closely with staff, auditors and examiners and assist in the development of appropriate controls to avoid problems.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of compliance-related complaints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in compliance.
• Secondary professional qualifications desirable.
• Thorough knowledge of national banking compliance regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other software suites.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of positions and levels within the organisation.
• Ability to train and mentor Bank personnel.
