Traffic Engineer Required in Italy

Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy and a Traffic and Parking specialist, who require an experienced Traffic Engineer to work on a number of Projects.

Important – Experience in the design and delivery of temporary traffic management measures

The Role

• Assist with or lead, as designated, all aspects of traffic management and design assurance, implementation, and operations.
• Monitor the progress and delivery of the design work already under commission
• Scope commissions for the design consultants as required
• Assist in the financial monitoring of the work undertaken, providing proactive information to inform decision makers
• Work with the team to develop and manage procurement of work packages related to operations
• Participate in the change management protocols adopted within the team
• Assist in the performance review of suppliers and provide feedback

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Traffic Engineer
• Knowledge of Traffic Signs, Regulations and Directions
• Experience of developing traffic management schemes
• Experience of developing parking schemes
• Knowledge of traffic management operations
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and to short term timescales
• Ability to provide information in a timely manner to assist decision-makers
• Ability to balance priorities and provide a professional service to customers
• Working knowledge of appropriate health and safety legislation
• Working knowledge of highway and traffic legislation in Italy
• Experience of effectively communicating with a range of Stakeholders
• Experience of writing and reviewing technical reports and policies
• Knowledge of events operations
• Experience of supervising staff on projects
