Skills Provision is searching for a Software Development Engineer for a network device supplier in Norway.

The Role

• Contribute as part of the development team. Interface with engineering peers, project managers, engineering services as required.
• Design and implement embedded software targeted to operate in different hardware platforms.
• Participate in combination with other company groups in the deign of software solutions.
• Create module/sub-module technical specifications based upon system level requirements, project plans and other appropriate processes.
• Carry out simulation analysis over different hierarchical and elementary models to validate functionality and verify performance.
• Design and implement embedded software targeted to test the different hardware modules developed by the company.
• Implements company design standards to meet industry wide standards.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and unit test reviews.

Requirements

• IT degree, preferably Master.
• Secondary professional qualifications.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a software developer.
• Excellent programming skills are essential.
• Good handling of real time operating systems and structured programming concepts is expected.
• Noteworthy hands-on experience with microprocessors
• Experience using digital design test equipment.
• Knowledge of communications interfaces and protocols.
