The Role

You will manage the day-to-day activities of the automation program. Lead the project development of the automation program and critical systems including implementing process controls and written procedures to assure equipment performance will meet the measured growth of the enterprise. Manage and schedule resources to specify, design, freeze, fabricate, test, and validate the automation equipment. This position also includes a sustaining engineering role with responsibility for new and existing products and their documentation for inspections, assembly, and test procedures.

 

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience within a medical device or pharma company.
  • Engineering expertise on bench-top, standalone, and fully automated production equipment design, including specification documentation, troubleshooting and software validation.
  • Programmable troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodology.
  • Machining and tooling experience with a range of tools, steels to plastics.
  • Strong leader with a high level of integrity, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the transfer of new product manufacturing.
  • Team player with evidence of ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Diagnostic experience with blood analysis devices using various materials desired.
  • Experience with statistics calculations (coefficient variation & standard deviation) desired.
