Design & Site Engineer 2/2022 – 1/2024\r\nYemen International for Const. & Trading Co. Ltd. (YICT)\r\nAmran Cement Plant | Amran, Yemen\r\n• Full-time, project with a cost of SAR 100 million saving up to SAR 180 million/year in production cost, \r\nunder the direct SV of international experts in projects, cement, and oil industries from Thailand and \r\nYemen. I also dealt with companies from France, Germany, India, Thailand, and UAE.\r\n•As a Design Engineer:\r\n1) Designed/modified General system drawings based on sub-systems manufacturers’ specs and the \r\nbudget, reducing the cost of cables by 25%.\r\n2) Checked/reviewed all manufacturers’ designs before installation and operation.\r\n3) Designed the block interlock diagram and the interconnection diagram for 2 parts of the project.\r\n4) Corrected/ modified designs when required, also prepared drawings and As-builts for the site teams.\r\n5) Made purchase requisitions as per new/modified designs and did material management.\r\n•As a Site Engineer:\r\n1) Awarded the Health and Safety Compliance Award, YICT (Dec 2022).\r\n2) Conducted No-load and load tests, pre-commissioning, and commissioning for systems, such as PLC, \r\nMCC, Motors, Fans, Blowers, Gas analyzers, Switchgear, Burners, etc.\r\n3) Commissioned systems/equipment with the manufacturers (on-site/remotely).\r\n4) Prepared periodic progress and material management reports to monitor budget and time.\r\n5) Made purchase orders, and communicated with suppliers regarding technical specs.\r\n6) Conducted quality inspections under the QC lead engineer.\r\n7) Operated SCADA system during commissioning and trial run.\r\n8) Member of the Handover Committee as a trainer and interpreter. \r\n9) Planned, directly supervised:\r\n➢ Teams consisting of 30 technicians & workers, a junior engineer, and an internship student.\r\n➢ Clarification of drawings, tasks, and safety instructions by conducting daily meetings/toolboxes.\r\n➢ Pulling, terminating, and designing the routes of control, power, grounding, and communication \r\ncables, such as Profibus, Profinet, and fiber optics.\r\n➢ Installation and wiring of industrial sensors, pneumatic equipment, power panels (such as VSD, \r\nVFD, and SSP), control panels and systems (such as PLC and BMS).\r\n➢ Coordinating/liaising with the client/consultants and my manager regarding punch lists.
